In 2012 For Customer and Vendor Imports there was a script to be added to the import Criteria to avoid Address Book errors. Anyone have this?

Can you please share what kind of scripts you are looking for? However there are many Blogs to give you the direction to import vendor/customers in AX 2012.
Please check the below links, it will also help you to handle the address book info while uploading.

The import you refer to is this a one-time import that you need before starting to go live or is this something that you need on a regular basis?
For a one-time import Excel might be ok. In case you need to import vendors regularly, I would recommend looking for a different way doing that.
