Exporting from Master Detail Form

Hi community,

I just want to touch base with you on how to export a customer master form into excel spreadsheet?

Under sales demographics section, I am hoping to export that into spreadsheet with the name of the Employee Responsible.

    Hi Justin,

    If the standard Export to Excel is not working for you, you might need a customization or create an Excel template using the Dynamics AX connector.

    Do you need just one record or all for an integration? What is the exact purpose?

    Hi Darren,

    Thank you the quick response. Apologies for the confusion.

    I am hoping to extract different data from AX into the spreadsheet. For example, I want to export data from All Customers Modules and My new opportunities module into excel. I hope it makes sense? how do I also know if I am using the Dynamics AX connector?

    My main purpose is to extract information from All Customers spreadsheet and my New Opportunities spreadsheet and export it into one single spreadsheet.

    Hi Justin,

    You can use the Dynamics AX connector in Excel to retrieve data from the tables. In that case, you can refresh the data from within Excel.

    It is also possible to create a customization where you create one Excel sheet in coding and then fill it with your required information.

    Thanks for the info Andre. Are there any training materials/references I could download from here on how to use Microsoft dynamics ax 2012?

    I kinda know what you mean, I am just hoping if there are any "how to" modules in creating a customise excel sheet from ax dynamics.

    Hi Justin,

    On the collections list page, there is an option to create overviews in Excel. This is creating multiple sheets in one workbook. You can try to learn from this example.
