Fixed Asset - Edit Depreciated to Date

Hello!

I'm hoping someone can help me.  I'm looking to edit a previous entry of a Fixed Asset in GP.  Originally, I had to change both the "Place in Service Date" and "Depreciated to Date" fields in the asset book.  I was able to change the Place in Service Date, but am hoping I didn't screw anything up when a notification appeared -

"Message - "You have changed a depreciation sensitive field. This will result in depreciation values being recalculated. Do you wish to continue?" occurs after changing the depreciation method on my asset in the Asset Book window. If I click Yes, I am prompted to choose from three different reset options." -

So now all that needs to be edited is the "Depreciated to Date" field so that it reflects a date in May 2030, but GP is not letting me save that option and always reverts back to the last day of the Place in Service month.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Fixed Asset - Edit Depreciated to Date

    Hello Dtango9,

The issue with the date reverting back is because you do not have any YTD/LTD Depreciation.

If you enter a YTD and LTD value and then change the Depreciated to Date, it should maintain the Depreciated to Date after saving. This worked in my system during testing.

    I hope this helps!
