German SEPA Direct Debit - error message when generating the customer SEPA payment

Hi experts

I made the following setup:

  • Payment method using ISO Direct Debit (DE) as electronic report
  • Create a legal entity bank account with a Direct Debit ID
  • Create a customer with the payment method and a mandate
  • Invoice the customer
  • Create a payment journal where I select the invoice and Generate payment where no selections were made in Electronic report parameter

I get an error message:

Payment generation process information
  • No records were found to generate a payment file.
  • Evaluating binding of format component ISO20022Reports/XMLHeader.
  • Validation error(s) occured during 'Format mapping' run.
  • The payments cannot be generated

:Do one of you experts know what the issue is and how to solve it?

    usually, I get that error message with incorrect filtering.

    Exemple : when you press generate payments, you have to a select bank account / payment method. When combination of these filters,  don't find any criteria in lines, I get a similar error message.

    Hi Nuno

    I got some valuable support from Microsoft and the issue is solved. The magic that solved is was to add Country/region to the bank account created in Cash and bank management and the Customer bank account :-)

    Electronic reporting error messages are not very user friendly.

    When there are no records to export in payments ( Bank, Country, Payment Method, etc, etc ) gives that error message.

    It can be related to from anything.

    Glad to know, that is solved.
