Refresh Entity Store - new experience

Hello,

During Refresh Entity Store, after we click Refresh button, where actually we can check whether the job running or not ? and what error if any ?

With the new UI, it is kinda confusing, as with the old one, we can put a name to the job, but right now I don't know where to rename it so it looks like all Refresh Entity Store only named "Full Reset", so we have no clue to which Aggregate Measurement is that.

Secondly also, if I remembered correctly with the old one we can go to SysAdmin / Inquiry / BatchJob and take a look at the Job (this is where the naming during Refresh Entity Store coming handy, whereby now is not because all with same name "Full Reset) and also  in the top panel there is menu View Infolog / error or something like it.

Now actually I can't even find the batch job of me doing Refresh Entity Store and if we go back to Refresh Entity Store screen, although they do have Refresh Log, but I've waited for hours already with nothing show. 

How actually we can check that it is running, and if we Refresh more than 1 entity store at a time, which one running which one has problem and what is the problem ?

    Hi guys,

    So sorry, but is there anyone can give some idea, because it is no progress since hours and I don't know where to check to see happened.

    Point is all my Refresh currently not working, whereby it is working days before. Just some addition info, it used work then I enabled integration to Data Lake which is good as well, then I deactivate it because I'm only testing it.

    Hi Tony zhong,

    Entity store screen design is changed now, we dont have batch job functionality anymore. You can activate "Automatic refresh enabled" option on entities and select the reccurence and it will refresh your measures automatically. As per micorsoft additional options will be added in future platform update.

    The performance issue is completely depend on number of transactions in your system/table. For example InventTrans, LedgerJournalTrans.

    On which environment did you setup, PRD or Dev?

    Thanks for replying, I'm in Dev stil, btw.

    Yes, about the screen, that is exactly what I described in my 1st email. So it is really difficult to see which Refresh Entity Store running and also if error what is the error and problem.

    I tried to look at Event Viewer but cannot find the right node for this job.

    The Entity Store hasn't succeeded to refresh until now, btw. And In Dev also means transaction is not many.

    So any help how to track it will be appreciated.

    Can you share the complete screen shot of Entity store or if you can share the Refresh duration and Recurrence values please.

    You can refresh any measure multiple times, did you try that? What exactly is the msg showing in event log grid?

    Yes, you're right.  'Full Reset' batch job is the actual job which check what/when entities need to be refreshed.  Customer have to make sure this job is running every 5 minutes. The final refresh result can be checked in the entity store->Refresh logs

    Yes, but when there is nothing happened or show, what should we do ?

    I've checked on the "Full Reset" batch job, it doesn't show my recent Refresh if I look at the date.

    So basically I need to know which Entity store running, and if there is error what is it ?

    Again if look at the date, it shows none is running whilst I Refresh couples of Aggregate Measurements, and many times also. The data also not many since it is my Dev environment.

    I don't think my Refresh job even running.

    Since I check in Inquiry - BatchJob, got 1 Job named "Full reset" and in detail lines only from older time, there is no activity / new record for my other Refresh's which I ran it many times since last night.

    what's the status of 'Full reset' batch jobs? Please make sure if it is NOT withhold.

    Well, it is Error.

    But if I click inside, in the Batch task (Detail), it is few days ago and it has End date as well a couple of minutes after.

    I've been clicking Refresh from last night until now but there is no history it was run at all.

    Is there any where I can check why my job never running or start ?

    Please change status back to waiting. If it's still end with error, check the log.
