Pending vendor invoices: Match variance is showing as checked, but Last match status is labeled as Warning.

Hello guys,

In Pending vendor invoices, when you click a Vendor Invoice, it shows that the Match Variance is okay (Checked), but why does the Last Match status still show Warning? Is this a normal occurrence or is this a bug somewhat?

    Hi Sean The Michael,

This can be the result of your system configuration and depends on how you configured your matching principles, tolerances and budgets. The screen/picture that you shared seems to be more related to budget checks. So, please check how your budget control configuration is setup and what kind of warnings and budget tolerances have been setup.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Hello and thanks for the answer,

I guess I'll read up on the matching principles, tolerances and budgets. Any tips on where to get documentation on this?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

This is a good starting point:

I know it has been a very long time, but I finally found out what is causing the Warning issue. It seems that all pending invoices with products that have a Unit Conversion of TH has an error. Anyone familiar with the TH unit? I am pretty sure that the unit conversion causes it because i've recreated 2 pending invoices with the same product but different unit, both has its Match variance checked, but the one with the item having a unit conversion of TH has its last match status on warning.

A quick search shows TH as Thomson, mass-to-charge ratio. i haven't dealt with this.

Hello sir Satish Panwar, thank you for your information and this is noted.

Do you have a link to where I can read more about this Thomson mass-to-charge ratio in Dynamics AX 2012?

I've been googling by quite a bit but it seems all that google provides me is Unit conversions sites that doesn't state that unit of measurement.

In our Dynamics AX 2012 the setup of Thomson is 1 TH = 1000 EA.
