Dynamics 365 upgrade from version 8.2 to 9.0

Hi Folks,

I want to upgrade dynamics 365 instance version 8.2 to 9.0 or later.

But before scheduling the upgrade, i just want to know any precautions to betaken before upgrade.

And any issues encountered after upgrade in terms of code, customizations ?

    You can use the XrmToolbox and add the plugin Dynamics 365 V9 Javascript Validator to check your code.

    The normal recommendation is to copy your production instance to a sandbox instance, then upgrade the sandbox instance, and test within the sandbox. This is based on the assumption that you have an available sandbox instance.

    In terms of specifics, there is nothing particular to watch out for, other than the standard recommendation that any unsupported client script will need checking, as some of the UI components have changed

    Hi,

    Actually , it's hard to say what must be notified before upgrade. Any bug occurred in the current latest version like V9.0.1.0569 could be reported to MS D365 Supporting Team. Revision's upgrade is now available almost every week. I suggest you could refer to the update article from official first.
