Hello fellow lockdowns
Want to have workflow send an approval to an AD group.
Following this I know I can do that; https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/posts/workflow-2-0-adding-an-ad-security-group-to-a-workflow
While I wait for my IT friends to set up an AD group this way does anyone already know;
When someone from this group approves will GP record that one person as the approver, or will it record that the AD group approved?

Hello,
When you submit the Workflow it will show that it is pending by X number of users in the group. You can click the blue arrow to see who those users are if needed. (sorry for the blurriness of the image)
Once it has been approved, it will only show the 1 user who did the Final Approval.

That is what I needed to know. Followup question from the client.
When the first person approves do the remaining X - 1 get any kind of notification? Client worries about duplication of effort as other people may still try to approve.
I have not personally tested this, but you could use the 'Send notifications for completed actions' option, and Mark Final Approval, then add the Group in the 'Send carbon copy to' section so that both the originator and the people of that group are notified. The only issue would be if you have multiple approving groups because you can only pick 1 per workflow.
I hope this helps or at least gives you something to try. The other option would be to manually reply to the group from the email notification to tell them that you approved it.
