Unable to Access Trial for Dynamics 365 Guides

Hello,

I just began a 60-day trial account for Dynamics 365 Guides. I received a confirmation email saying that the trial has begun. However, I have tried signing into Guides both on my computer and on the company Hololens, and I consistently get the following popup:

I am unsure if I missed something when signing up or when reading through the documentation.

Is there anything that I can do to access the trial?

Thank you!

Unable to Access Trial for Dynamics 365 Guides
“AI was used in this reply”.
If you are unable to access Dynamics 365 Guides despite receiving a confirmation email, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Verify Your Trial Setup & Licensing
    Confirm Your License is Assigned
    • Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (admin.microsoft.com).
    • Navigate to Users > Active Users and check if your account has a Dynamics 365 Guides trial license assigned.
    • If the license is missing, assign it manually:
Users > Select Your User > Licenses & Apps > Enable Dynamics 365 Guides.
Ensure Your Tenant is Set Up for Dynamics 365
    • Visit Power Platform Admin Center.
    • Check if a Dataverse environment has been created for your trial.
    • If not, manually create a new Dataverse environment and select Dynamics 365 Guides as an installed application.

    2. Ensure the Guides App is Installed & Configured
    On PC (Windows 10/11)
    1. Install the Guides PC App
      • Download from the Microsoft Store: Dynamics 365 Guides
      • Ensure you are signed in with the same account that registered the trial.
    2. Check Permissions
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Dynamics 365 Guides.
      • Ensure the app has camera, microphone, and storage permissions enabled.

    On HoloLens
    1. Check If the App is Installed
      • Open the Microsoft Store on HoloLens and search for Dynamics 365 Guides.
      • If not installed, download and install it.
    2. Sign in with the Correct Account
      • Ensure the HoloLens user is signing in with the same account that registered the trial.
      • If you see the "Visit aka.ms/GetGuide" message, your user might not have the correct license or Dataverse environment access.

    3. Assign Security Roles in Dataverse
If you can’t access Guides, you may need permissions in Dataverse:
    1. Open Power Platform Admin Center.
    2. Go to Environments > Select Your Environment > Settings > Users + Permissions > Users.
    3. Select your user and assign the "Dynamics 365 Guides User" security role.

    4. Reset & Reinstall the App (if needed)
    If the issue persists:
    1. Uninstall and Reinstall the Guides app on both PC and HoloLens.
    2. Restart the device and try signing in again.

    5. If the Issue Persists – Contact Microsoft Support
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact Microsoft Support:

    Next Steps
Verify your trial license assignment in Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
Ensure a Dataverse environment is created and configured for Dynamics 365 Guides.
Install and sign in to the Guides app on both PC and HoloLens.
Assign the Guides security role in Dataverse.

Would you like help checking your environment settings or troubleshooting specific error messages?
