Create an add to Calendar Button on Customer Insights - Journey

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone could help me out here as I'm a little bit stuck.

Basically we are using Resource Scheduler to book meetings between Customers (Contacts) and Salespeople (Bookable Resources). This creates a bookable resource booking which then shows up in the resource calendar on Dynamics. We then need to send a confirmation email to the customer and we'd like to include an "Add to Calendar" button that they would then be able to click/push and add that booking to their calendar. Is there a way we can do that? The issue as far as we can see is that the bookings aren't events or event registrations but not sure how we can get around it.

If not we're thinking we could create a power automate flow that generates the ics file but we aren't sure how to draw that value into the button.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Out of the box, I'm only aware of easily being able to generate a calendar file is if it's related to an event or event session, however this previous article
by Megan V. Walker may be of help.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Fiona,

    Thanks for your response.

We're already generating the ics file and we can store it in a field however we can't seem to find how to attach the file from a record, to a button or as a file attachment, dynamically. The only option is for file library but that is still a static thing.

Do you happen to know of a way to add files directly per booking (in our case)?

    Cheers,

    Kamil
