Embed an event registration form on a website.

Hi Community :-)

We are continuing to explore the Marketing app capabilities and we are now in the process to setup events using the event module.

What is really interesting is the ability to create registration custom fields per events. For example for a special meal.

It's working well when we use the by default generated landing pages in the event portal but we would like to just use a form to register attendees.

In other words, to do as we do with Marketing forms. We thought that we could use a Marketing form > contacts in a segment > a customer journey > event registration.

But in this scenario, the issue is that the marketing form doesn't allow us to have some specific custom fields if we don't have the same field in the contact entity... and we dont want to create a new custom field each time and pollute the contact entity.

So, question:

- Is there a way to create an event and get a JS / HMTL code to be used on another website for attendees to register?

Thank you.

Pascal

    Hi Clofly,

I also would like to know if an event form can be used on a marketing page.

Would you consider having event registration forms available on D365 marketing pages?

    Let me know,

    Hi Clofly,

Is it possible to host an event registration form on a Marketing page? I was not able to find my Event registration type form on the list of available forms to add in a 'form' element on a Marketing page.

Does Event Registration form always create a event registration entity instead of a lead? This is what we would like to achive via a customized/branded Marketing page.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jasmin,

The form can be hosted on portal page or external page.

If with portal, the default form will be replace with the marketing form for event registration, and we can still select specific sessions.

If with external website, currently only event level registration is supported.

(From technical perspective, actually sessions can be put into registration request, but relevant API documentation is not published yet.)

    Hi Clofly,

How do you allow people to register for specific sessions though?

    Hi Pascal,

This is a functionality that's on our roadmap and would be delivered in an upcoming release. If the issue here is that you'd like to not use Dynamics portal, you can now host your event website (available as an Angular app) on your own website.

However, if you're using a CMS and would simply like to use Marketing Forms for event registrations - that's the feature that's on our roadmap and would be released in the upcoming months.

    Regards,

    Shravan Suri
