Using eConnect SQL proc to get next PO number, will PSTL Minimum PO/Receipt Number be effective?

Posted on by 55

I understand that GP can jump out of sequence when creating a new PO number and in order to prevent that you can check the PSTL tool to "Never Default to a Previous PO/Rec Number". I also understand that in order for the setting to work you need to set it on each work station. So how does this work with setting the next number via eConnect SQL proc? Which work station would need to be set?

Thanks.

Hi Becky, Thank you for your response. We are using the eConnect proc taGetPONextNumber to get the next PO number.

    Hello UriZ,

Thank you for using Community Forums. My name is Becky.

In EConnect, you have to manually pass in the PO number that you want to use.  We don't find the next one for you. so the Minimum PO Number Tool would not be looked at.

The PO number is  required and doesn't allow defaults in EConnect.  So you would have to use your own custom logic to find the next number if they are not just passing it in by themselves.
