RE: Power Apps_What can be done vs not done

    Hello James,

Power Apps features can be used to:

    - Customize a SharePoint form.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../customize-list-form

    - Canvas apps - Create an "app" from scratch or from a data source, that can be used in Android, iOS or Windows devices. The app can be also embedded into a Power BI report, Microsoft Teams channel or Dynamics 365 form. You can, for example, implement an app that will allow your company to manage the schedules of meeting rooms, by inserting records into an Outlook calendar.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../getting-started

    - Model Driven apps - customize your Dynamics 365 instance by adding components.  Model-driven app design doesn’t require code and the apps you make can be simple or very complex.

It's also possible to integrate data from different technologies. For example, you can exchange data between Common Data Service or Dynamics 365 with SharePoint. Or integrate Talent data with Finance and Operations; or you can implement an app that will read data from Talent and write data to one of your entities in Finance and Operations.

It's also possible to call Microsoft Flows from a Power App. This is useful if you need to automate a process. For example, you can build an app that can use flow to send emails to an employee's manager every time an expense is submitted.

Regarding embedding a canvas app into a SharePoint form, there are some guidelines and limitations that you can check here:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../embed-canvas-app-in-form

    docs.microsoft.com/.../embedded-canvas-app-guidelines

Is there anything in specific that you intend to achieve by using Power Apps?

    Best regards,
