I was asked to make the financial dimension values in different fields available in the customer transactions form, with the purpose of filtering by these values.
I've run into problem. I can see the default dimension in the AOT but not in the UI. Not sure why it's not visible for linking.
Thanks
Hi Brian,
You can use join DefaultDimensionView and use field Display dimension to show individual dimensions on the form. You will need to join this view as many times as the total dimensions you have. For an example, if you have 4 dimensions, you will need to create 4 data sources in the CustTrans form using the view mentioned before. You will also need to filter view based on the Name of the dimension.
I found this link and tried to follow it:
www.axazure.com/.../show-dimensions-in-a-form-without-adding-table-fields
I created the view and added a relation to the CustTrans Table:
Set the Properties:
So, if I understand correctly, I can use this like to add the facility to the custtrans form and filter by it.
Yes. This approach will work better for you as you won't need multiple data sources. Were you able to get the dimensions displayed using this approach?
Yes!
