Real time transaction service functionality on different time zone

Hi,

I have a query regarding real time transaction service in AX 2012 Retail. My head office is in India with time zone UTC+5.30 and one of my store is in Denmark having time zone UTC+1.My store machine is not on the same domain of my HO server. Now my question is if my store at denmark try to access any of the real time transaction service based functionality such as gift card, loyalty, inventory look up then will system allow to access HO AX??or it will show some error. I have tested with two different machines(One server and one POS machines). I have set the server on Indian time zone and POS machin on Denmark time zone, but those two machines belongs to same domain. For different domain and different time zone Real time transaction service will work???Please reply me anybody asap, its urgent.

    Hello Debashish, firstly your question is not clear. What are you trying to achieve?

    If your question is related to Timezone difference between POS client and HQ, then it will work, I do not see any reason that it should not work if the network supports.

    If your concern is in the Domain, you will need to test out the Network, Trust relationships, IIS Hosting of Retail Transaction service website, etc and it should be done by someone from the Networking background to ensure that you do not have any communication issues between client and HQ.

    I have tested with two machine..one act as a POS machine other one is server. When I keep those to machine on same time zone(UTC+5.30) and keep the difference of time betweem this two machine within 4 minutes, Real time service works, but if it goes to 5 minutes real time service can not connect to HO. But when I keep this two machine on different time zone(POS machine UTC+1 & UTC+8.....Server UTC+5.30) real time service works fine. Now my requirement is POS machine is not in same domain of HO server machine and POS machine is in different time zone, then real time service will work??within same domain with different time zone it is working, With different domain and different time zone will it work??

    Debashish, So the timezone difference works, there is no issue. 

    If you are asking if real time service will work between two different domains then it will work. Just ensure the connectivity and both domains have trust relationship between each other.

    Suuppose POS machines are connected through VPN with HO with different domain and different timezone. Real time will work ???

    One more query...

    Can we increase this 4 minutes time difference for Real time service for same domain Server and POS machine??If so then how to increase and where we can increase??we have 70 stores and server in same time zone.stores are connected through VPN with HO. it is very difficult to adjust all those 70 stores time within 4 minutes with Server. I am looking for a work around for this also.

    it won't work, if certificate is self signet, in our case we have a selfsignet certificate, and discover that if pos machine have 5min + or - diference with HQ, RTS fail in autentication process.

    our workround was set up as many time RTS server as  time zones, each time zone has his ouwn RTS server. conecting to one AOS server.
