Is there a way to disable the automatic calculation of Overtime Booking Journals when a technician works outside their normal working hours? We are trying to capture all Traveling hours and Working Hours separately. When technicians travel or work outside their normal working hours, those hours become Overtime booking journals and there is no way to differential if the travel or the in progress work caused the overtime. I'd like to disable overtime in Field Service and let our HR system determine if it overtime or not. If our technicians end up working extra hours on Monday, but leave early on Thursday and stay within 40 hours for the week, there is no overtime, but the Booking Journal records the extra time on Monday as Overtime.
If you use Melissa's approach, have a look at the new features announced for April, preview already available now:
We use the booking timestamps and calculate the difference between the times and avoid the journals altogether.
Hi Melissa,
we do have the same problem. Did you find a solution for it?
Thanks and BR
Mario
We need the working hours for the schedule board, or our dispatchers could schedule technicians outside their working hours, so that's not an option.
You could just not have working set working hours for technicians? If your HR system and schedulars know the working hours from memory then this could solve your issue?
