Hi All,

Our client wants to have a separated Tenant one for office (E-mailing Sharepoint Teams...) and the second tenant Is for dynamics .

Use case : Person 1 has one office account : persone1office@client.com , and a second account persone2office@client.com  for dynamics use.

So for the same physical person we will have 2 emails adresse to connect to Office/CRM.

I need to know If there is a way to sync Emails, sharepoint ,Teams ,... of persone1office@client.com with persone2office@client.com.

Thanks In advance.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Rida BOUSSALAA,

The email synchronization will only work of Dynamics 365 and Exchange Online both in the same tenant. For different tenants this configuration is not supported. Please check the official documentation below.

'Model-driven apps in Dynamics 365 support server-side synchronization with Exchange Online in the same tenant in Microsoft 365 with Server to Server Authentication.'

'Currently, connecting model-driven apps in Dynamics 365 with Exchange Online in a different tenant is not supported'.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/supported-email-service-configurations-server-side-synchronization

You will need to Migrate the Mailbox to same tenant:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mailbox-migration/migrate-mailboxes-across-tenants

Or else change the Tenant by performing tenant to tenant migration.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/admin/move-instance-tenant

The same principle applies to Dynamics 365 integration with SharePoint as we required both the application to be in the same tenant.

"The URL will be checked for being a valid SharePoint online site and for existing in the same Microsoft 365 tenant as your organization. After enabling server-based SharePoint integration you can't go back to the previous client-side integration"

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/set-up-dynamics-365-online-to-use-sharepoint-online

For Team integration is it dependent on SharePoint Integration if you want to use SharePoint.

"Microsoft Teams integration uses SharePoint integration at the backend, so if there is a failure with SharePoint integration or OneDrive configuration, it will also fail when you enable Microsoft Teams integration".

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/teams-integration/teams-troubleshoot

Hope this suggestion will help in the implementation to follow the best practices.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Sumeet_MSFT
