Append To privilege is missing from the Share form in unified interface

Hi Gurus,

I came across a strange situation maybe you can help me. A user created a campaign and shared it with other users so they could associate new leads to this campaign. However in the new Unified Interface the Append To privilege is missing. So the users consistently get a "no privileges" message as they don't possess the Append To privilege. Is this something I missed in the documentation and there is a better way to perform this operation? 

I had to solve it by creating a workflow that shares the append to privilege upon creation, which sounds quite odd to me....

    Hi,

    The "Append to" privilege does not exist in Share dialog even in the old interface.

    Let me explain this briefly.

    The Append and Append to privileges are for entity level.

    If you share a record's "Append" privilege, it can be related to other records. This will have no other impact on this entity.

    If the "Append to" privilege can be shared, it means that other records can be related to this record. And that means that other records can be pegged to this entity.

    So the "Append to" privilege cannot be shared in a record level.
