I wonder what's the difference between AddMembersTeamRequest and Associate method to add an user to a team, do they have the same effect?

I remember I did some investigation around the subject back in 2012 and as far as I understood AddMembersTeam calls Associate behind the scenes. Check this post - butenko.pro/.../
I would say there should be no differences.

Thank you for your quick answer. I just tried to use AddMembersTeamRequest to assign an user into a team, and by comparing, I find it really doesn't seem to make any difference, both are able to successfully connect users to the team. And fortunately I use it in a console application, messages in the plug-in are not involved.
