Problems with Help System and LCS

Hi,

Since a CU3 we have problems with a Dynamics 365 for operations Installation. Wenn we try to set up the Help System as described here

We get the warning:  Unable to View details, no form exists for table 'SysLCSProject'.

And error: Invalid OAuth token was presented.

So no help libraries could be loaded to be selected for the help System.

Have anyone an idea of what could be the cause?

    Hi Pedro,

    Can you indicate what you mean with CU3 as this naming is not used for Dynamics 365.

    Are you probably referring to Platform update 3? If so, did you deploy a machine with this platform update or did you updated an existing machine? Please elaborate.

    Hi Andre. Yes it is this Platform update 3. An existing maching was updated and before the update there was no problem at all.

    The Problem is that it is not possible anymore to access LCS from Dynamics 365 after this update getting the message "The authentication process was not successful. Please contact your system administrator."

    Hi Pedro,

    Can you try to deploy a new machine with platform update 3 and also version 1611 (7.1 application)? Then you can test if it works here or not. You are probably missing the application update.

    Hi Andre but I still have not clear the distinction between Platform Update 3 and Version 1611. It seems that Version 1611 is a complete new version which should have already the updates of Platform Update 3. Right?

    The other DEV System was also updated to update 3 and also LCS connection does not work since the update.

    Hi Pedro,

    Platform update 3 can be considered as a "kernel update" where "version 1611" (aka 7.1) is an application update. They rely closely on each other.

    Happy new year André. We still have this problem so the solution would be to update to Version 1611 or to make a support request to Microsoft. But it would be great if someone have recently updated to platform update 3 and have the same problem.

    When Dynamics 365 tries to connect to LCS it uses an CLIENT ID "00000015-0000-0000-c000-000000000000" to try to connect to LCS Resource. This value is stored in SYSOAUTHConfiguration table. Suspicious?
