How to avoid sending invitation to redeem access to portal

We are trying to avoid where users have to redeem the invitation to access the new portal we are developing. These are existing users and are sensitive to any changes.

is there a way to bypass the redemption step or a way to do that using a plug in or some custom code?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi

You could try this, when creating a contact that is going to be using the portal, fill the username field and then set a password by clicking the "change password" button, then assign a web role to that contact.

After that the user should be able to login to the portal by using the username and password.

Thanks for replying and I apologize for not including all pertinent details. Here is our case.

    • We have a set of contacts created in Dynamic CRM. Every contact record in Dynamic CRM has first name, last name, email id, and some more attributes.
    • We created users in Azure b2c with the same email id as was in the contact record in Dynamic CRM. A new power portal instance was spun off, which is connected to the contact records in Dynamic CRM. The portal instance is set up to authenticate against the b2c tenant.
    • Now when the user signs in using b2c credentials, in power portal, I get an error but the error goes away if I generate a token and redeem the token for the contact record.
    • Is creating an invitation a must or is there a work around to that? We are trying to provide a seamless experience to our existing customers.
