In earlier versions of NAV find & replace option was very handy to find and replace values in multiple records.
Can anyone tell me what is the replacement in NAV 2017?

Use Ctrl + F you will find the replace button where you can enter the word you want to replace

just Press Ctrl + H key from keyboard, you will get a Replace Dialog box, see the below screenshot.
What I meant is at application level. Example. In an item journal if I want to replace document no. for 5000 lines, I am not able to do in NAV2017. Only Find option is available , not replace.
Ctrl + H option is not available.

With NAV 2017 this requires customization. Using the new app source (Microsoft "store" for business app extension) i suggest you check out:
