Customer Voice - how to create a view in D365 with a column for each question response?

I am working on mapping survey responses back from the new Customer Voice app (formerly Forms Pro)  into a custom view inside D365 service. I am working on creating a view under the entity "Customer Voice survey response". When attempting to add columns to the view, I would like the responses to each question on our survey to have it's own column.

But when trying to add columns, I do not see the individual survey questions available as a field.

When I open an voice survey response manually inside D365, it shows the responses under Question Responses > Question > Name (name being the answer) - see screenshot below. How do I get these question responses into a view?

I think I need to add an entity in the sitemap to see it in the view.

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried that and it did not resolve the issue. I really struggling with combining data from the two out of the box Voice Entities - Customer Voice Survey Responses and Customer Voice Survey Question Responses.

Why are they separate? Why would you want to view one with the other - i.e. the responses has the details on who/what/when in the survey, the questions responses has the answers to the questions - but what good is seeing the answers to the questions if you cannot view who said them and what case this was regarding?

It sure seems that there should be a more straightforward default method to view survey results in D365 with this new Customer Voice app.

You can add attributes of a parent entity in a view of the child entity in Dynamics, but not the other way around (as there can be many/infinite children) - for including question response record:

    • Create a view for Customer Voice Survey Question Response by including the response answer and question text
    • Display the view in the form of Customer Voice Survey Response as a grid

Thank you for the suggestion - any links to documentation or videos on how to do the grids in the form?

I tried setting it up using this page from MS -  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/use-editable-grids

but cannot get it to work.

This is really complicated to get data out of a survey product for analysis.
