Report Margins missing in AX 2009

Greetings,

Our site accountant had an issue with Dynamics AX 2009 were her account had defaulted into a test environment/company.  Once she was able to get back into the correct environment, the margins for one of her reports she generates are gone.  In print preview you can see the text is all the way to the edge of the paper, where as before there was about an inch on all margins.  The problem seems to only effect this one report.

In the AOT section the margins on the template are set to Auto;  I have tried to manually set them but nothing changes on the report.  I can change the margins on the Frontpage template, but that only changes the header of the report.  I think there is another template being used for the report, but I dont know where or which one it is.

The template I am looking at in the AOT section is named "costtransactionsemw".  However when she goes to print, she can pick from a couple of templates names "costransactions - emw" and "costransactions - emw (2)".  "emw" is the accountant's initials.  I cannot find these listed in the AOT.  Are user-created templates stored somewhere else?

Is there an option to choose the paper size anywhere?

A few other notes:

  • Fit to page is selected
  • Her printer default has not changed
  • AX is accessed via RDP to a terminal server

The administrator for AX is no longer with the company, so I am trying to figure this problem out with no experience with Dynamics AX.  Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Kevin

Can you find the report in AX - Tools, Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, Report Manager, Report Builder (then click Open and browse the folder for the reports)?

Thank you for the reply.  I am waiting to hear back from the user.  Please stay tuned....

The user can go to Tools > Business Intelligence (BI) > Report Manager; but when report manager is clicked an error occurs stating "Unable to determine the Report Manager URL.  Ensure that you have configured a reporting server."

Report Builder is also listed under the Business Intelligence (BI), but the same error occurs:  "Unable to determine the Report Builder URL.  Ensure that you have configured a reporting server."

    Any suggestions?

Ah, in that case you possibly created reports a different way to us here.

With regards that error I did find this community.dynamics.com/.../119736.aspx

But from what you have said above, it may not be the option you are looking for so proceed with caution.  I am assuming ours was setup for us when the System provider created our AX installation.
