Good morning,

I am trying to find out.

"Subscription based environments option in LCS supports which tier deployment"

Because i saw from LCS. Microsoft doesnot support Tier 1. My confusion is can we have (tier2) only or (tier 1) or (both) or (tier1 and tier 2 and tier 3 and tier 4).

Please show some light on this.

I tried searching in internet but do not find much information.

Regards,

Have a nice day.

Tier1 is no longer available via F&O subscription. You connect your own Azure subscription to LCS and can deploy tier1 from LCS into that Azure subscription.

Tier2 and others go via F&O licensing subscription.

    Hi ggjhj,

For more details, please refer to the official document of Environment planning: docs.microsoft.com/.../environment-planning

Standard – This environment is included in the standard offer and is managed by Microsoft in a Microsoft subscription. Standard environments include the production environment and a Tier-2 Standard Acceptance Test environment.

Add-on – The add-on environments are in a Microsoft-managed subscription that the customer has purchased in addition to the standard offer. For example, an add-on environment might be an additional Tier-4 environment for performance testing.

Tier 1 is no longer included in Standard cloud offer.

You need to deploy Dev environment on your own subscription, please following steps below:

    1. Complete the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) onboarding process: docs.microsoft.com/.../arm-onboarding

    2. Deploy a demo/devtest environment  docs.microsoft.com/.../deploy-demo-environment

    Hi Joris,

    Thanks for your reply.

Which means that tier 2 is only supported with  subscription.

    Regards,

    Have a nice day

    Hi ggjhj,

By default, you can only create a Tier 2 environment as UAT or test in your subscription. The production environment can have another size, based on expected usage of the application. You can add other non-production environments with an add-on in your subscription.
