Is there any OOB feature to send email notification upon change of user's Security roles and permission? if not which is the best way to do it. If customization required Pls suggest some links for reference

Hi Syed,

I dont think there is an OOB on sending email on security role/permission change. You can do with workflows,you send mail but onchange security roles event we need to check

Hi Syed,

There isn't any OOB functionality but you can create a plugin to achieve this.

Hi Syed,

The back end operation for changing of roles is either associate or disassociate.

You need to write a plugin that fires on these messages, on user entity.

thanks ravi. I know we can get notified when association/Dissociation of role. How about change in Role permissions(like change in read, write , delete, assign & assign to)

Hi Syed,

For Security role as well, there are plugin messages available for Add, Remove & replace. You can register plugins on these messages on Role entity and notify all the users associated with them.
