Locking personalization in bulk?

Hi all,

see below. My customer wants to lock personalization for all employees in bulk without using a custom security role. To lock personalization, you can flip a switch for each user individually. However, this customer has thousands of employees! Is there a way to set this in bulk without editing the employee security role? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Betty Jameson,

There is a privilege that gives access to user to be able to personalize forms , based on my findings.

I suggest you check and restrict this privilege from role(s) assigned to Users.

    Hi Betty Jameson,

On the same form you have "System settings" tab - So there you will have option to disable the personalization("Enable personalization" toggle button) irrespective of the users.

    Hi Betty,

neither of the suggested answers above will solve your issue.

    - Messing with the privileges will result in custom roles, which you said you wanted to avoid.

    - The 'Enable personalization' toggle disables, but crucially does not lock, anything you want applied. If you have any custom views applied and you set the toggle to no, the custom views will no longer be available to the users until the feature is turned back on.

If your user case is indeed that you want personalization locked, you will have to set this in bulk to my knowledge - unless anyone else has a better suggestion? I do not believe this is something that can be set via data entities.
