Exclude opt outs from journeys in real-time marketing

Hello everyone

When using the new preference centre functionality in Real-time Marketing, the unsubscribe link in an email no longer updates the /Do not allow bulk email/ attribute on the Contact. Instead, it updates the Contact Point Consent for the email address.

This is great, but I can't find a way to create a segment to exclude contacts who have opted out. I thought it would be possible to add the Contact Point Consent table to Segments, but unfortunately not:

For KPIs and reporting, it's really important to build segments containing people who will actually receive the email. So if I have a list of 2000 contacts, but 300 of them have opted out, I don't want to include them in my segment because it's going to skew my stats.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Deborah

    Hi,

Our team has analyzed the information you have provided and according to the official documentation, you can use the "Exclude by segments" feature to add exited users to segments that are no longer able to participate in the customer journey.

The link to the documentation is as follows.

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Thanks for your response Rudy.

But using an exclusion segment isn't the solution. It's not possible to build a segment based on the Contact Point Consent table currently.
