Job Title: Accountant/bookkeeper
Reports To: CEO

Summary: Maintains day-to-day activities of the accounting department, develops and maintains budget, and performs analysis work as requested by the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsible for general bookkeeping activities and practices and participate in the review and appraisal of financial procedures and records by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs analysis work in accordance with company procedures.
- Develops and maintains budget with direction from the Chief Financial Officer.
- Enters and validates credit cards into system and ensures accuracy and completeness.*
- Runs weekly reports.
- Acts as back-up on payroll and month-end processes.
- Maintains all related accounting and bookkeeping records and accounting files in a neat and orderly manner.
- Performs all computer data entry to generate and review related reports and routine financial statements.
- Prepares bank deposit slips and post accurately.
- Reviews related reports and financial statements for discrepancies, resolves and submits to company accountants in a timely manner.
- Prepares accounts payable checks and mail as assigned.
- Completes bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
- Maintains an accurate bookkeeping balance and informs management of discrepancies or problems immediately.
- Interacts with all company personnel regarding financial issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; accounting software; inventory software; payroll systems and Internet software. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
