Sales Invoice Print Preview Slow Issue

Hello, I am using AX 2009. I have 4 servers, 1 = Database Server, 2 = Active Directory Server, 3 = Application Server, 4 = Terminal Server. I am using AX application through terminal. I have customized Sales Invoice Report as per preprinted stationay, but genration of print preview is very slow. This takes @ 10-15 min per invoice. Can anyone help me for this?

    We had a similar issue, but in AX2012 it may shed some light on places to look.

    Our "slowness" issue came down to security. We noticed a big speed difference between Administrators, and normal users. It appears that when a user is an administrator it skips all security checks and jumps right to a SQL query. However when not an administrator the SQL becomes complicated joining into the security tables to check if a user has access. These exist joins slowed the query down majorly. From 0 seconds as admin, up to 6 seconds as normal users.

    That was the key that helped us solve our problem, we were able to determined this by using the AX Trace utility.

    He's got it.  The first thing that needs to be done is to enable tracing and then get a report.  It could be all sorts of issues with security being a possible one.  Thankfully, MS provides us with a good walkthrough for doing this:
