Budget Control not stopping Purchase Requisition from submitting to workflow

Hey,

I have budget control turned on. I have budget groups set up in the configuration. When I create a purchase requisition everything looks to be working except I can still submit the purchase requisition to the workflow.

- I get the warning that my line is over budget. It's a warning because it is in a budget group as well. This is correct.

- I get the red X that the budget group is over budget. This is also correct.

- I can check for budget errors or warnings and it gives me all the correct info.

- However, I can still submit the purchase requisition to the workflow. I have a simple auto-approved workflow and then it will create the PO.

Is there a bug or something still allowing it to be submitted? Or am I missing a parameter?

Hi,

I have two things.

One- Please check the "Over budget permission setup" if your users are allowed to bypass the control.

Also, is this only happening with PR or this behavior is with every documents like PO, JV etc.

Thanks Ramit,

I checked all that. I believe I found that it was intended to work this way so it doesn't stop the end user from their tasks.

If you want them to stop in the workflow, you would need a condition to reject the workflow.
