How can we migrate business rules from Microsoft dynamics CRM 365 to Power Automate

Hello,

I have some 150 business rules created in legacy sandbox in Microsoft dynamics CRM 365. I want to take them all to my new Power Automate. I am unable to find any export import option there.

Can you please help me to know if this is a feasible option to perform this task.

Thanks!
I have the same question (0)

Business rules in CRM are typically used similar to Javascript, in that they perform actions while a record is open and being worked on (showing or hiding fields, setting default values, etc.). Some business rules can be set to run at the entity level, which means they apply even without the record being opened by the user.

Power Automate flows always run in the background, so they cannot be used to make a change that is immediately reflected on the record in question. There will always be some sort of delay. As a practical example, this means you cannot use Power Automate to hide fields, change the requirement level, or do a number of other actions that business rules are designed for. They really are not equivalent, and there is no way I am away of to migrate from one automation source to another.

Your best approach would be to evaluate what those business rules are doing, and then identify whether they should (1) Remain as business rules (2) Be converted into D365 Workflows (3) Be converted to Power Automate Flows or (4) Are redundant and no longer needed. You will then need to manually move items to the appropriate automation channel.

It depends upon what is the purpose of each BR.

If it is used for Form level change behaviour then you have use JS or BR, because Power automated flows are like a asynchronous process which will run after updates or create operation.

You can use BR or JS.
