RE: SP5 and statement of Directions

i would of assumed the most request feature would be to fix actual bugs...

HQ part of missing transferts, especially if they are started by a STORE..

Store A transfer in (create a new transfer ) from STOREB

Store B will not get the hq message...

we then need to find it and re create the HQ Message ...

that bug alone cost us around 75,000$ lost in revenue last year. (2013).. and since we have been using this since 2009, then i assume our loses are far greater.

it`s intermittent and random , so VERY hard to pinpoint why...

but then you talk about a new income revenue with the Payment services,

    is this the link `www.dynamicsonline.com/.../sellpage.aspx`

i only see one gateway for canada, Cybersource...

the canada preferred gateway is MONERIS which BTW has 40%+ market share and probably 80% in some areas.

20$ monthly fee plus 0.12 USD Per trx is on top of current fees..

with over 100,000 transaction last year , this setup would add 1500$ monthly + 12,000$ fees to our setup...

i prefer paying a Dev or creating inhouse solutions we CAN control..... that 60K in last 4-5 years forr your payment services... plus the maybe 150 i lost with the bugs...

you exepct us to pay 200k on top of what we paid for this patched up software ?

don`t get me wrong, STORE OP Alone is ok... but the HQ is written by debutant coders with half brains as power source, there are no indexing in half the tables if not at all, no error checking whatsoever and i will stop here before i get out of control.

you guys talk about a SOD since 2012 (actually after more research it's 12/21/2011) and nothing is even shown to us , what a lack of respect for your clients, we have been hanging and waiting and PAYING for addons that fixes most of the bugs but can we just know WTH is going on ?

when should we expect what ?

    new RMS based on AX

new AX based on RMS ?

    new product ?

    same buggy one ?

you guys are a few months LATE just to say WHERE this product is going, i can't expect the product itself will be bug free neither, we are not asking for a BETA which some partners have seen but just a HINT on what is going to happen.

Right now, a simple 20$ a month online POS beats the maintenance and overhead of RMS multiple stores with GOOD inventory control and HQ,,.

oh and btw changing cashiers or anystore info from the HQ is a must for any organisation, im pretty sure you don't send a tech to a desk to fix a password issue right ? darn even active directory does it...

enough said, ball is in your camp and i just can't wait to see what the  response to this will be

    Good morning,

FCASES, I am not sure what you mean by "PCI Trim Down"? Cumulative Update 5 (CU5) actually adds huge new payment processing functionality.

We added what has been the most requested feature for the past few years which is to open up the payment processing options.

This is done by updating the integration with Microsoft Dynamics Online Payment Services. This integration provides up-to-date access to Microsoft Dynamics Online services and, through the Payment Services software development kit, provides new customization options for partners and payment processors who want additional payment options.

Regarding missing transfers, we do not have any open Hotfix Requests for this issue that I am aware of. If you can provide reproduction steps for an issue, please submit them via a support request with the Microsoft Dynamics RMS Support Team.

Unfortunately, I do not have any information on when the new Statement of Direction will be released.

    Gregg

I agree. I am extremely frustrated with Microsoft at this point. I know that they are transitioning over to the AX platform for the next version of RMS. We are looking to add stores next year (currently we have one brick-and-mortar location) and it would be nice to have a SOD from Microsoft so that I can make more informed decisions.

nope... this is SP5, with nothing worth upgrading except: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Retail Management System\Headquarters\HQServer" –q

all rest is pci trim down.

we need a SOD, this actually looks like it was throwned out to keep us happy , while nothing is fixed, missing transfers in particular.. they should learn indexing if they want to use MSSQL also.

    Hello Fcases,

I have heard that it should be out soon, I would think within the next month or 2, but I cannot make any promises on that.
