Pick from queue refresh rate

I have at Live Chat Widget in a workstream that implements the Pick from Queue instead of the Push to Agent.  
Is there a way to improve the refresh rate for the queue when a live chat request arrives?
It seems that I must wait over 30-60 seconds for the request to arrive in my open items:
