I am using project management and accounting module to consume some physical items in fixed priced projects and we use work in progress accounts to accumulate the finished work until project / stage is completed and reverse it with estimate procedure. Up to here everything is fine. The issue comes when I run recalculation from inventory management and expect the system to post not only + or - additional cost on the inventory expense accounts but to adjust the work in progress accounts too. Is there some setup/feature that I need to enable or it is just fixed and broken again in the subsequent versions because in standard Contoso environment version 10.0.11, update 35 it is not working, on version 10.0.13 update 37 the system makes what I expect on version 10.0.15 it is not working again?

We updated to version 10.0.16 update 40 and it is working fine

For 10.0.12 this hotfix was issued that should remove the problem.

Have not tested things since.
If you stiff face this issue then please open a support ticket with MS.

Based on the scenario described inventory recalculation should update the project cost postings and the inventory postings. If the project is finished then the cost variance will not be posted to WIP accounts. If that is not your case then I would suggest you to log a support incident with us.
