Adjust Cost - Item Entries... function stops with a ununderstandable error message

"An integer is too large.

9 524 138 530 062 370 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000"

Maybe it is importance that this database/company contains lot of "Item ledger entry"  and "value entry" rows. There are other companies in this database where the function runs without error.

I found this problem under NAV 5 and NAV 2009 too.

Many thanks

Attila

    Hi Attila,

Thank you for raising this issue.

The cause can be a bug in the code or due to data inconsistency. In most cases in the past it was due to data inconsistency. As a result recommend to run at least the Costing Error Detection Report.

You can download the report and whitepaper from Partner and/or CustomerSource.

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../navcostingerrordetectionwp.htm Detection

Then again, the report will only detect part of the known data inconsistencies. I don't think the error message is triggered due to the amount of data in tables 32 and 5802.

These cases are normally difficult to solve, so if further assistance is needed don't hesitate to contact Microsoft support. They will also be able to assist to establish the cause and when needed forward the right hotfix.

    mbs2.microsoft.com/.../newstart.aspx

    Hope this helps,

    Christiaan.
