Marketing Form in Wordpress Site

Posted on by 335

Hi

The documentation https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/marketing/embed-forms for embedding a marketing form says: "Depending on what type of web server and CMS system you are using, you may need to adjust the code (for example, by escaping some special characters), or adjust your system settings to allow scripts such as this one to be pasted in. See your web server and CMS documentation for details".

Has anyone had any luck doing with with Wordpress as our marketing team/web providers are striking out on that

Thanks in advance

RE: Marketing Form in Wordpress Site

Some websites created with WordPress are slow because there are people like me who don't know much about programming or design. So, I needed a website for my services as a psychologist. At first, I wrote interesting articles for my clients there, but I decided it would be good to put the register button for a consultation. I  did it with a team that worked to custom web design central coast, so that it would be according to the needs of my clients. The result was that my brand grew, and now I have customers from all over the world.

    Hi backinstereo,

I'm having some success with embedding a form in WordPress. Here's the details as it may differ from your own.

    PLUGINS

    • Siteorigin Page Builder

    • Wordpress 4.9.9

I followed the instructions as far as I could in Jesper Osgaard's post.

I double checked and at no point did I have to edit the embed code, xml file or change the HtmlEditor.RemoveScripts. One thing I missed the first time was the Add New Form Whitelist in D365. Afterwards, I simply copy pasted the generated embed code from the left column into a WordPress test page.

Give it another shot and let me know if it's working.

I too am having this same issue. I have whitelisted my site and while I see the form is trying to load on the bottom left of my browser (Chrome), it's a blank white space.

Anyone else have any luck with Wordpress embedding?

No, that doesn't sound right as it's actually using javascript I believe to embed the form and they also have their new web API which isn't .net specific anyway.

If you use f12 in chrome, that might help you see what calls are being made when you load that page.

I have got the form to work but not on wordpress i'm afraid.

Yes I have whitelisted but our webproviders say "Another thing that I am thinking about why it is not working is because Dynamics

365 uses Microsoft platform which has its own set of classes which is not

supported by WordPress which is created using PHP while Microsoft Dynamics is

more on ASP which another programming language" - which doesn't seem at all right to me

    Thanks for replying, appreciated

Does the form not load at all?  Have you whitelisted it against the domain you're trying to display it in?

Thanks for replying Raheel, its a great blog and he refers to editing the code for a Sitecore site - I was wondering if anyone had managed it with a Wordpress site - thanks again
