How to limit CRM portal users to reset their password to only certain number of times?

Hi,

We are setting up a CRM portal add-on and we need to limit the number of times that a user can be able to reset the password by using the FORGOT PASSWORD option, and after the 3rd attempt they will have to contact the helpdesk to reset it.

Is it something that can be done currently?

Thank you in advance.

There is a site setting that can be configured to limit the max # of failed attempts before the user is locked out.

Here is the link to the doc - docs.microsoft.com/.../set-authentication-identity

The site setting is below -

The maximum number of access attempts allowed before a user is locked out (if lockout is enabled). Default: 5. For more information: UserManager<TUser, TKey>.MaxFailedAccessAttemptsBeforeLockout.

    Hope this helps.
