Hi Community, I need some help, I have customized the Base App in Business central 13 using C/SIDE but I'm not able to download symbols for them in VS code. I have tried
the following command but no luck.

finsql.exe Command=generatesymbolreference, Database=<DatebaseName>, ServerName=<ServerName>\<Instance>

Any help would be appreciated. thanks

That will generate symbols that do not download, for download you need to use VS Code.  You also need to enable "Enable loading application symbols at server startup " in the administration to generate symbols.

Hi Suresh, thanks for your reply.

I have already enabled that property in the administration. Previously when I ran this command the generated log file said the command ran successfully but it didn't download symbols for customized objects.

Now I have changed the command to generatesymbolreference = yes because the default value is no, now after running this command on cmd, the object designer gets open and points to the customized object and command doesn't execute.

    thanks.

It got solved after I deleted the Microsoft_Application.app and Microsoft_System.app files from al packages and downloaded symbols again.

    thanks.
