    RE: migration of routing rule sets

    Ok so I am having the same issue, the OP is right.

    I have moved all queues using configuration migration tool as you would, then I installed a separate solution with the routing rules present.

    Unfortunately the fields:

    • RoutedQueueId
    • msdyn_routeto

    are not included in the Customizations XML in the solution file.

    Please see below masked XML from the solution

          {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}
          Sample Case Routing Rule

              Sample Rule Item
              {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}
                                {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}" dataslugs="" />

    On a sub note you can get this working using the Data Transporter Plugin in the XRM toolbox.

    However in my case as the customer does not allow use of open source software in their environment they will not use this for production.

    Hopes this helps the next person struggling with this in the future.

    Cheers!

    Hi Partner,

    In your case, if you want to copy queues between instances, you just need to export the queues from old instance and then import them into your new instance.

    You should copy the queues first and then copy the routing rules.

    RE: migration of routing rule sets

    Hi Partner,

    May I know the real issue in your case?

    The "Queue   User/Team" option did not be selected or the value of "Add to Queue" has been blank?

    If the option is not selected, I suggest that you could raise a ticket to Microsoft to let the engineer help you on server side, if you mean the Queue value has been blank, so as Kumar said, you must have the same queue in both environments otherwise the value will be always blank.

    Regards,

    Leo

    RE: migration of routing rule sets

    Hi,

    It is not migrated because queue/user record guid is different in your target instance. Whatever value you have selected in your source instance must be present in target and GUID should be same then only it will populate.

    For now you will have to manually select in your target instance. Or import queue record from source to target instabce using configuration migration tool.

    Hi,

    preferred and Best way to move Ruuting Rule Set from one environment to other is to use OOB solution.

    Add Routing Rule set in your solution, export the solution and then import in target instance.

    Couple of important points to be noted down while importing Routing Rule set. See below link.
