Booking item journals with sales order demand pending

Hi MS Community,

I am trying to do an item journal for a negative adjustment, but I'm running into an issue with reservation entries exist. When diving into Item Availability by Location, I saw that there is a projected balance of "-15" QTY. I clicked onto the "-15" saw that there are "Sales Lines" that are associated with this.

My question is:

What should I do in order to book my item journal adjustments?
Is there a way to book sales order without reserving QTY's so that I don't run into the same issue when book adjustments?

You have to cancel the reservations on the sales order before you can post your item journal.

You can read how to cancel the reservation here:

To avoid future reservations you have to check how your system and how your items are defined. You can define that reservation will happen manually or automatically.
