Workflow Changes not showing up

I made some changes to a regular workflow, just swapping out one email address for another.

After saving and activating the workflow--and restarting the CRM Async service for good measure--I noticed that it is still using the old workflow. I published customizations as well.

Does CRM cache the old workflow?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you all for your answers. I think I know what the problem might be but want to get your input before I make the changes. This workflow has timers. They wait for a certain expiration date to happen before sending out an email. In System job I see this workflow is in a waiting state for some jobs for the past three years, waiting until 2021 before they send out an email. Is it possible because these jobs are still executing that CRM is not picking up my changes?

In other words, it's still using the design changes from prior to the past three years? In such a scenario, would I need to stop the async services and then republish the workflow?

did you tried to save the current workflow and publish all customizations just for a good measure?, it might be one of those times where our attention drifts a little and system punishes for the same. if you still face the problem I would suggest you provide an overview of your workflow and clean your browser cache for once.

    Hi

Any new workflow session triggered after your changes should have the new values, no need to wait for days or restart services.

Could you check your workflow again and see if the changes are persisted? I noticed in the past with 2015 and chrome, values I selected were not persisted and I had to do them using IE.

Ok, but I made the changes last night and I don't see it reflected this morning. The jobs this morning are new instances of the workflow. Are you saying I have to wait a few days or stop the async service?

It is not cache. But if workflow jobs are already running and if you make any changes, it will take old workflow changes.

New workflow changes will be reflected on new workflow jobs.

    Thanks,

    Anand
