Connection --> No available companies

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi

I am about to setup a new company with SQL database, Serverinstance and Client seperately

So far I have:

-Copied demodatabase to new testdatabase on SQL server

-Created new company and new user via administration shell

-Added new NAV service which points to the new testdatabase

-installed Client

The problem is when I try to connect to the service via client. It seems like there is connection to the service but I do not have any available companies to choose from. How do I solve this?

Thanks in advance!

    No I am not using windows logins.

    I am not sure what you meant in your previous post, but I think the problem lies in the fact that the new user have not received any permissionsets. How do I grand the permission set SUPER via ADM powershell?

    Thanks for fast reply

    When I press tab on server address I can see the address to another service which works fine. When choosing the other service I get to choose between 4 different companies in another database

    When creating the user I used the following line in the ADM shell:

    New-NAVServerUser nav8 -UserName Chris -Password (ConvertTo-SecureString 'Password1234' -AsPlainText -Force)

    What is happening when you press tab on Server Address?

    Did you also add permission Sets like Super to user?
