Moving Inventory from Reserve Physical to Available Physical

Hi Community Team,

We have a Item (Part) got reserved as part of a Prod Order (against the sales order), and later the order got cancelled but not tear down, Is there anyway can we bring back the inventory into Available Physical so that other orders can consume those reserved inventory.

What is the best way reuse the inventory which is reserved but not used. ? Please help..

Below example

For the above item example, I want the item 4 qty Physical Reserved into Available Physical.

Hi Hariharan,

Did you really cancel the sales order? Can you also check the underlying inventory transactions related to the Production order and the sales order?

Dear Hariharan,

If you cancelled the sales order and you do not want available inventory to be used for the same then simply remove the inventory reservation against the sales order (or sales line) manually and that should get the inventory freed up for other sales orders.

Make sure the reservation on sales order (or sales line) is set to 'Manual' or at least not 'Automatic' otherwise on saving the salesline inventory will get re-reserved.

The reservation would have taken place as you progressed your works order. If other works orders should use the parts simply reset the status of the works order no longer needed to before the status you are reserving stock in the production parameters. That way the stock will be unreserved.

Ultimately depends what you are doing with the works order you no longer need.

sorry for jump in at old post.

one of my item, has information like this :

Serial number : 1192201462

those item no need to be process in production.

physical reserved = 0

available physical = 1

available for reservation = 1

but I want to reserve, in sales order lines, inventory, reservation.

the column is disable, I cant type the qty in that column,

really need your advice, how I could do reservation for this case ?
