How to avoid option set values to overwrite the existing values when we upgrade managed solution.

Hi Guys,

We have a scenario, where in the unmanaged solution (cloned solution), we have few option sets with default values. These values can be change by the customer in the production environment.

So now when we will move the cloned solution (managed version) to production environment and apply solution upgrade, will it delete the option set values as well from the production and overwrite with the default values?

If yes, then how can avoid this scenario and maintain the production option set values as it is?

If the option set values are not deleted on the solution upgrade the values will not overwrited.

We will only loose the information if we remove an option value from an option set.
