Installation Error Dynamics NAV 2018 - ERROR_CIRCULAR_DEPENDENCY - 1059 (0X423)

Hello,

i've bought a Lenovo Yoga 720 Notebook with Windows 10 Home Edition.

Today i've made the upgrade to Windows 10 Professional Edition to use this machine for NAV development.

SQL runs well, but the Dynamics NAV Service quits with an error (see subject) with the remark to make a look in the event log; there is only one line with the same error message.

In the service properties, the only one dependent service for NAV is "HTTP Service"

Any idea, where / what to check next?

    Hi again,

    thanks for your answers. In case someone has got the same problem. Peter´s solution worked for me too. I have changed the service account and was able to start the server.

    Hi Andreas and Peter,

    Besides disable SOAP and ODATA Services, [NT AUTHORITY\Network Service] account should have appropriated login and database access permissions in SQL.

    Hi,

    a friend told me to change the default (NAV) service account with any other account (with admin permission) and it worked.

    Dont ask why, i did it and from that moment the application server runs without any problems.

    Hi Khoa,

    thank´s for your reply. Both Services are not activated. But there is still the problem. For me, totally ew to NAV and Servers, it seems to be a problem with the NT AUTHORITY\Network Service. When I use this service/user I receive the message that depending services could´nt be started. Whe I use local system the NAV Server starts ut the cliet ca ot connect succesfully. Maybe the Network Service needs some more rights? But if so how?

    I wonder also why the standard DEMO Installation of NAV does not work without problems on Windows Server and Windows 10? Really strange.

    Hi Andreas and Peter,

    The error relates to SOAP and ODATA Services.

    If you don't use them, disable them then you can start NAV Service.

    Hi at all,

    I´ve got the same problem. I have installed NAV Demo (tried on Windows Server 2016 ad Windows 10) and when I try to start the service there will be a message saying that a depending service could not be started. This service seems to be http service.

    When I change  the NAV server account to local system the service starts and the client seems to connect to the server but the working area will not start. After that attempt I receive a message that the server is not ready for requests.

    Any idea how to solve this problem?

    Hi Peter,

    Change the Account Login for the service : "Microsoft Dynamics Nav Server" and select System local account.

    Let me know if it's ok or not.

    Check the NAV service configuration and ports used.
