Export Sharepoint web part page including all added web parts.

Hi,

I set up a few new web part pages and added some web parts to the page. I want to use those new web part pages as Role Centers for certain users. The web part pages are working fine as Role Centers but I face an issue when I want to export and reimport those web part pages.
I exported the .aspx site from Sharepoint (2010) by using the functionality of downloading a copy. When I upload the same .aspx web part page to the library again it doesn't contain the added web parts. It seems like the web parts are not considered to be stored in the .aspx file - it's just the blank page.

Any clue how to export the whole web part page?
