Hello All,

I have signup for D365 Trial and Business Trial, now when i am trying to setup the D365 Connector setup i am getting error "The specified Dynamics 365 for Sales administrator does not have sufficient privileges to import a Dynamics 365 for Sales solution", i have given the System Customizer as well as Admin rights to user  but no luck,aI also tried creating an additional user.....this also didn't work.

The Error Means, BC is trying to import the Integration Solution in your D365 for sales and cannot because of some permission issues.

The best way to test this, is to login in your D365 for sales (CRM) and try to import the solution yourself, or get even another solution from any NAV DVD (For testing reasons) and see if you can import the solution in CRM using this user, if you get the same error, then you know that this user is not an administrator in CRM:

IF this all goes well, your integration user will have the following rights in CRM:

IF you test the import of the solution yourself, here is where you can find it out in NAV DVD:

At the end if you can import such a solution in CRM and still BC is getting you the same error, then IT is time to file a support case, to get it checked on the backend.

    Thanks,

    Rahman

    Hi,

The solution is not available to download, as I said it should be done automatically by BC, I just wanted to test a solution from NAV On-premise, you can get it out of any NAV DVD in the following path:

    DVD-->CrmCustomization

And just test if this one works for you or not.

If it works, you need to fiel a support case, so as we can check internally why BC cannot use your user in importing the solution.

    Thanks,

    Rahman

This is a known issue with support, and they are working on it.

If you download and manually install the solution in Sales (Settings -> Solutions -> Import -> Choose Zip file) the setup in business central can then be completed. The one from the NAV DVD did not work for me. Here is a link to download the one that did (I got this from Dynamics support):

    gigabitbc-my.sharepoint.com/.../EhVpPD7cQl9OngXknGOK_PsByQfaVfnYeFkYzpK5SICTmA

Just keep me in mind if you need a good CSP/Consultant in the future :)

    Hi Abdelrahman,

    Hi,

First of all thank you joshua for providing the solution, and you are more than welcome :) just let me know :)

I was just a bit worried because the version of the solution is a bit old from an older update, but I made sure that we did not change much and I tried it as well and it works, thanks a lot again Joshua for the help.

Parallel to this it is already reported to DEV, and working onit, and will be solved very soon, and meanwhile the manual update is what helps til lthe next update.

If I have more info I will share it of course

    Thanks,

    Rahman

As an FYI, for anyone using Business Central, you should NOT need to manually upload the solution package in Dynamics 365 for Sales. If you're getting the error noted by the original poster (RK), this is an indication that the user you have defined while running through the Assisted Setup (yes, use the "Set up Dynamics 365 for Sales" Assisted Setup, instead of trying to populate the Dynamics 365 for Sales Connection Setup manually in Business Central) does not have Admin rights in CRM / Dynamics 365 for Sales.

So you need to go to Dynamics 365 for Sales, and check the permissions assigned to this user, and make sure you give this user the highest administrative privileges. The rest "just works".

If you are still stuck (and using D365BC), please re-ask the question in the Business Central forum, so you can get a contextually appropriate answer for D365BC. As similar as NAV and BC are, there are some differences in how the integration to D365 Sales works and what can/cannot be done.

I hope this helps. If my response has answered your question, please verify by clicking Yes next to "Did this answer your question?"
