Batch disposition code

hi,

We do maintain our RM inventory with batches. And we set a batch expiry date when a RM stock of particular batch is received. My question is, is there a way in AX to set the current batch disposition code to change automatically to a new batch disposition code (say Recheck or Expired) when it reaches the expiry date ? 

Any help?

    The Shelf advice date can be used with quality associations and the Inventory Mgmt -> Periodic-> Batches -> generate inspection papers to kick off quality orders for re-certification of batches that are about to expire.  You can also use the Inv Mgmt -> Inquiry -> Batches -> Shelf Advice / Shelf Life / Best Before as of dates to inquire on batches that are about to expire and then mass change the batch disposition.

    Hi there,

    I'm quite in the same situation - but still wondering about that function.

    We've set up an item, having Batch tracking and all limited shelf life. According to the batch Information, it's already expired. I've set up an quality association and wanted that batch to go into inspection (so I used the mentioned the generate inspection function) - nothing happend. Is there anything I need to take care of additionally?

    Can you point out, what's essential to run that function?

    @SHerz you should raise a new question to get visibility, this thread is quite old.  Please describe what steps you have taken with screenshots:  Item setup showing Shelf life / shelf advice / etc dates, the quality association you created, Shelf Advice as of Date w/ Expiration date personalized to the form.  SHerz
