Using a Customer field in a Marketing Email

I have a situation where I need to use a customer (so could be Account OR Contact) in the field, and it doesn't seem to appear in either the standard personalization or the inline conditions.  
 
I need to address it to the Customer, and send it to the customers email address dynamically. 
 
Does anyone know how I can use a customer field in my email?

    Hi,
     
    Unfortunately, that's not possible.
    This is because the marketing email is addressed to contact or lead.
    The target audience for marketing emails is lead or contact.
     
    And, when you use the /Send now/ feature, segments are selected to act as recipients.
    And the target audience of the segment is lead or contact.
     
    Even if the email is sent via journey, the target audience for trigger-based journeys is either contact or lead.
     
    Therefore, marketing emails can't be sent to accounts, only to contacts, which is due to product design.
